Happy Monday! I wanted to thank you all for stopping by on the blog today!
So, if you are anything like me, we all have our stressful days/weeks/even months. I know with graduation around the corner, I have been stressed out to the max! With May starting I have decided to be more productive and make the most of my day, and honestly have a good day! It is extremely easy for me to want to be lazy and snuggle in bed all day! (I mean, who doesn’t love binge watching the newest Netflix shows or movies?) So, what I have been trying to do is wake up early and get a head start on the day! Also, what I found really helps is making sure I do things the night before in order to have a smooth start to my day! But, I wanted to share with you my 5 things I make sure I do every night to make sure I wake up to have a good day!
One of my favorite and most important things is taking care of my skin the night before! (Because who loves waking up with swollen eyes or scaly skin?! No one lol). I hate being all comfy in bed watching a show at night and have to get up to wash my face and put on face cream, but it makes an absolute difference in the morning when I wake up with a clean, soft, and moisturized face. I started using Bel Air Skin Science’s new line of moisturizers a few months ago and I am absolutely loving it! I am currently using the Formula No.1 Lift and Sculpt! I know for me, I have super dry skin and I am always looking for a great moisturizer that isn’t so dense on my skin! This new face cream has been a blessing to my skin because it makes me feel more confident too!
My second thing I always try to do is use my Erin Condren Life Planner as much as possible to write everything down that I need to do! Or if I just need a little encouragement if it is going to be a rough week! I honestly think I would lose my head if I didn’t have this with me, AND I love that I am able to customize the planner to have my name on it!
My third thing I do right before I go to bed write in my cute little Eccolo journal. This really helps me because it has a bible verse and notepad that I am able to write in it and read the quote before I go to bed and have a more positive attitude towards the next day! This really helps me with hiccups in the day and negative comments or just when it is a rough day and it just keeps me positive! I really try to write in it every day the 5 things I am most grateful for! I say try it for a week and see how much your attitude towards the day changes! It’s truly amazing!
The fourth thing I do the night before is to do a little something for myself. I think in this day and age everyone is always worried about everyone else and sometimes neglects themselves. I have vowed that I need a little “me” time. For this, I usually always light a candle! And I absolutely love baths so sometimes that consists of a bath bomb from Lush! I think it is important to take a step back from the world and think about yourself for just a little each day!
The last thing is to try to go to bed early! I know with finals coming up and life happening around me, it sometimes is hard to go to bed so early! But, I am in a long distance relationship right now with someone who is three hours ahead of me! (Crazy I know, but it is possible) So, I try to go to bed at least within an hour after he does because honestly, it makes the nights easier when you are missing them so much! (Also sometimes he is super sweet and will make sure I go to bed on the phone so he knows I get a good night sleep, he’s actually the cutest)! But getting a good night sleep really helps with having a good day!
