I am so happy right now to officially give everyone a tour of my house (aka Kale Palace) for this year! My roommates and I have worked so hard to make this house cozy for everyone that steps into our home! My roommates are Cassie, Briana, Miranda, and a fellow blogger Anna (check out her website here!). Like I mentioned in my last blog post, we have been living here for almost a month and couldn’t be happier to be on my own with some of my best friends!
When I first started to think about what I wanted my new room to look like, I had all of these ideas! But I started first with the theme and colors. Since I knew I had white walls I wanted to keep white into the theme. Ultimately I chose white, grey (aka my favorite color), gold, and a pop of pink (cause who doesn’t love pink!!) From there, I started to gather a few things here and there but I was especially looking forward to doing a gallery wall. A gallery wall is when you take pictures, canvases, and other hanging objects and put them together on a wall. This was my first attempt at ever doing something like this, so I was especially nervous and excited! But, I think when you do anything in life, you just have to go with it full heartedly because it turned out just like I envisioned in my head. But a few tips when creating a gallery wall: choose a theme and stick with it, find different sizes of frames or pictures, and lay it out and mess around with the different shapes till it fits what you are looking for! All in all, having your room clean and decorated pretty, makes your life less stressful and gives you motivation for the day, week, or month ahead!
My biggest advice when decorating is find things that you love and just go for it! This is your time to shine and stay true to yourself! And if anyone questions your ideas, then smile and wave at the haters!
